Vascular anomalies are a heterogeneous group of disorders. Haemangiomas and capillary malformations are the most representative skin presentations in children. In haemangiomas, dermatoscopy reveals the presence of reddish, round-ovoid structures resembling lacunae, separated by blue-whitish septa. Two main patterns have been described in capillary malformations: type 1 or superficial, characterized by red dots or globules, and type 2 or deep, revealing red dilated, linear vessels forming irregular networks. Dermatoscopy may be useful in the prognostic evaluation of treatment response, as superficial lesions are related to a better response to laser therapy.

摘要
