Rosacea is a benign chronic-recurrent inflammatory dermatosis characterized by transient or persistent erythema, telangiectasia, and often papules and pustules mostly located in the central facial region. The prevalence in children is poorly documented and likely underreported. Etiology is not well known with some exacerbating factors playing a role. The diagnosis is mainly based on clinical findings. Dermatoscopy is a valuable aid showing, in the erythematous-telangiectatic form, a reddish background and the presence of linear and polygonal vessels, and, in the papulo-pustular form, red diffuse structureless areas, yellow scales, follicular plugs, and follicular pustules.
