Land and property transfer is a complex and time-consuming process governed by various laws and regulations. The complexity of property transfers is influenced by several factors, each requiring careful consideration and specialized knowledge. These processes are different in one state to another in India. To mitigate the risk of fraudulent transfers and scams during property transactions, the blockchain-based framework for citizen-centric service aims to address the challenges of insecure data and lack of transparency at property mutation. This research finds how Block-chain technology can be helpful for the government in citizen-centric services to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions in land and property. The use of Smart contracts improves automation, transparency, and efficiency in transactions by removing the reliance on manual enforcement. Smart Contract makes the smart city smarter. The Consensus mechanism will provide the current state of transactions that expedite and smooth the mutation process. Tamper-proof ledger for property and land transactions could be used for preventing and detecting fraud.
