Designing Augmented Reality Resources Framework for Contemporary Education
摘要
Augmented reality is evolving as a revolutionary educational technology. The seamless fusion of digital overlays with real environments facilitating interactive and immersive learning. This paper proposes a broad framework for the integration of augmented reality into the educational landscape from a technological, pedagogical, and practical perspective. A mixed-methods approach was used in this study by combining the views of educators, information and communication technology designers, and curriculum designers through qualitative thematic analysis and quantitative statistical assessment. Findings indicate that AR can help increase engagement, encourage inquiry-based learning, and reduce the complexity of abstract ideas, especially in STEM. However, significant challenges such as high implementation costs, limited access to AR-compatible devices, and professional development opportunities for educators remain. The research is framed on actionable strategies such as low-cost AR solutions, focused training programs, and curriculum-aligned content that address these gaps. These challenges can be addressed by AR to redefine modern pedagogy, ensure fair access, and induce inter-disciplinary innovation. The future studies should extend AR applications in vocational and humanities education while further exploring the long-term impacts on teaching and learning.
