Artificial Intelligence (AI) is wide spreading through the world transforming different fields including Education. AI can enhance cognitive tasks, improve critical thinking, problem-solving and cognitive skills. The usage of various technological tools in the teaching and learning process in the last 10 years has emphasized the importance of shifting from traditional curricula to up to date ones that would help students develop competences related to data analysis and computational thinking. This paper investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into curriculum development, with a focus on global initiatives, theoretical foundations and practical applications. Using a mixed-method approach, combining a literature review and comparative analysis, the study examines initiatives from countries such as Spain, China, and Korea. The findings highlight the need for revised curriculum that promotes digital competence and personalized learning while addressing lack of teacher training and resource allocation. The study presents practical suggestions and tools for educational institutions and policymakers to effectively implement AI in education.
