Interventions for severe and dangerous problem behavior require a special level of care and training for those implementing the intervention. In this chapter, we describe important considerations when training interventionists who are working with severe and dangerous behavior, discuss the importance of a function-based approach, and highlight evidence-based training methods to train interventionists when addressing this topography of behavior.
