Blockchain and the Green Frontier: A Bibliometric and Systematic Review of Supply Chain Sustainability
摘要
Purpose: The increasing focus on sustainability has heightened interest in blockchain technology to boost transparency, traceability, and supply chain efficiency. However, broader trends and impacts of blockchain on Sustainable Supply Chain Management remain underexplored. This study addresses this gap by identifying key publication trends, leading sources, contributing countries, influential authors, and future research themes in blockchain and sustainability. Design/Methodology/Approach: The current study adopts a bibliometric and systematic review methodology, adhering to PRISMA guidelines, and employs Biblioshiny and VosViewer for analyzing data in broader sense by extracting data from Scopus database. Findings: The research trend reveals significant growth in studies on blockchain and sustainability from 2018 to 2024, demonstrating diverse academic interest and increasing publication trends. Network cluster analysis identified four key clusters: Industry 4.0: Driving Sustainable Supply Chain Practices, Blockchain and Green Supply Chains: Balancing Profit and Sustainability, Transformative Technologies: Optimizing Informed Decision-Making, and Digital Transformation and Sustainable Supply Chain. Originality/Value: By integrating data from Scopus database and utilizing an extensive set of keywords, this study offers an inclusive and thorough analysis of the research landscape that integrates blockchain technology with sustainability.
