Composite Fabrication for Industry 5.0 Applications Using Friction Stir Processing
摘要
In a variety of real-world engineering applications, such as those in the sports, defense, and transportation industries as well as the aerospace and transportation sectors, metal matrix composites have since replaced traditional materials. An automobile or a plane with much more mass will require more power to speed and maintain its current speed. So, automobile, aerospace, sports, medical, and defense industries want lighter material because reducing weight also reduces carbon emissions and fuel consumption. For aerospace, automotive, and transportation industries, using lightweight materials like aluminum alloys and other lightweight metals has become essential. Several techniques are employed to produce a surface composite, with friction stir processing being one of the most popular. Friction stir processing aims to modify the microscopic geometry of the workpieces rather than joining them together. To identify a present gap in the reinforced particles that can be investigated for future application, a study of the literature on friction stir processing with particle reinforcement is conducted in this research.
