The Problem of Men
摘要
In this chapter I trace the nature of the problems associated with men, manhood and masculinity. I outline the ways in which men, manhood and masculinity are implicated in escalating levels of violence against women in the home and in the streets, mass shootings in the United States and elsewhere, war and militarism throughout the world, far-right terrorism and rising right-wing populism in both government and civil society, the manosphere and online hate, increasing man-made environmental disasters of floods, wildfires and pandemics associated with global heating and unrestrained economic growth, unearned privilege and entitlement and misogyny and devaluing of all that is deemed to be female and feminine.
