Behaviour of Halal Entrepreneurs Towards the Adoption of Islamic Financing

Halal and Islamic finance have been established to advance halal economics. The adoption of Islamic financing among halal entrepreneurs is an area of growing interest as the halal industry expands. This study employed a qualitative approach to explore the behavioural factors influencing halal entrepreneurs’ decisions to adopt Islamic financing. Through in-depth interviews with 3 halal entrepreneurs, the research uncovers themes related to Islamic financing adoption, namely awareness, religious norm, and perception. From the findings, these three aspects were recognised as crucial elements to the acceptance of Islamic finance. The findings of this study are restricted to halal food entrepreneurs. In this way, future exploration could reach out past the momentum degree into other categories such as halal cosmetics, halal logistics, or halal pharmaceuticals to advance the attitude of halal entrepreneurs towards Islamic financing adoption.
