Loess-Paleosol Sequences of the Ice Complex (Yedoma) Permafrost Deposits of Ancient Beringia
摘要
Vast lowlands of Northeast Eurasia (former West Beringia) and Northwest America (former East Beringia), including the adjacent territories now existing in the subaqual regime of sea shelves, were presented as the whole ice-free territory of ancient Beringia having a similar genesis, bioclimatical conditions, flora, and fauna. The structure and properties of Beringian permafrost Ice Complex deposits are rather similar to the loess-paleosol sequences in the periglacial regions of the European part of the continent.
