Arctonoe vittata, commonly referred to as the scale worm or polychaete worm, is a marine species primarily found in the temperate and cold waters of the North Pacific, particularly along the coasts of North America, from Alaska to California. The mitochondrial DNA was extracted from whole-genome sequences and assembled via Novoplasty. The annotation was performed with MITOS and GeSeq. Phylogenetic analysis following the maximum likelihood method was conducted in MEGA, utilizing mitochondrial genome sequences from 11 related species generated through BLAST. The mitogenome of A. vittata is recognized as a circular DNA molecule with a length of 15,059 base pairs (bp). The mitogenome comprises 37 encoded genes (13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes), which is consistent with other findings. The overall nucleotide composition was 28.6% A, 18.0% C, 13.9% G, and 39.4% T, with a high A + T content of 68.1%. Phylogenetic analysis grouped A. vittata within the suborder Aphroditiformia and found it to be closely related to Aphrodita australis.
