Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Academic Learning Practices for Moroccan Students in Economics and Management
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an important role in various fields, changing the way we live, work and learn. Particularly in education, AI offers interesting opportunities to improve teaching and learning practices. This work aims to examine the impact of AI on the academic learning practices of Moroccan students in economics and management using an electronic survey to explore 360 student’s attitudes and perceptions towards AI, as well as its integration into their learning methods. Participants were asked to reflect on their experiences as users of this technology, and to suggest ways of streamlining the use of these tools to improve their learning experience. The results show that students are aware of the important and significant impact of AI on their learning processes, but assert that there is much ambiguity as to best practice regarding recent technological developments, and express a strong interest in supporting and broadening their knowledge in this area, by implementing specific AI modules in the curriculum of economics and management programs and organizing workshops to help them be better equipped to use these technologies with confidence and responsibility in their future career paths. AI technologies, such as chatbots, adaptive learning platforms, and predictive analytics tools have been identified as particularly beneficial for personalizing learning and improving study efficiency. Nevertheless, concerns about the effectiveness and ethics of AI tools articulate the need for human supervision.
