IoT in Agriculture: Use Cases and Challenges

Our aquaculture study explores the utilization of modern technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the integration of current data. The article thoroughly examines the developments and technologies prevalent in fish farming from 2018 to 2023. The primary aim of this effort is to improve the monitoring of water quality, enhance fish health, optimize environmental management, refine farming practices, and enhance the management of fish stocks. These advancements are specifically designed to bolster operational efficiency in the aquaculture sector in Morocco. More precisely, the objectives include elevating standards for water quality monitoring, promoting fish health through innovative technological solutions, optimizing environmental management for sustainable aquaculture practices, improving operational processes for more efficient production, and ultimately, streamlining fish stock management to ensure optimal resource utilization. This study positions itself as a catalyst for the widespread adoption of advanced technologies within the Moroccan aquaculture industry, highlighting the tangible benefits they offer to the entire sector and contributing to the positive evolution of aquaculture in Morocco.
