This article aims to conduct a systematic literature mapping to identify studies already carried out on the development of immersive and multisensory technology capable of enabling the appreciation of a painting by people with visual impairments. For its application, the articles were collected by creating a search string. Subsequently, inclusion and exclusion criteria were defined, filtering the desired contents based on those that address the research questions. These steps resulted in the selection of 112 articles, which went through two subsequent screenings: by reading the title and abstract, resulting in 27 articles and then, by full reading and relevance to the research, totaling 16 articles. Finally, the selected papers underwent a qualitative data analysis, with the aim of generating information that can contribute to future research efforts. The main results of the research showed an emphasis on the use of combined multisensory resources, mainly tactile and auditory, in addition to highlighting guidelines to make their use more effective and improve the user experience and their autonomy during interpretation, ensuring a better subjective analysis of the work.
