Hola: Proposal of a Social Network for Interaction and Socialization of People with Autism Spectrum Disorder
摘要
Epidemiological studies have revealed a considerable increase in the incidence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in society over the years. Estimates indicate that about 1% of children worldwide are diagnosed with autism, while in the United States the ratio is 1 in every 36 children. In addition, research suggests an increasing interest of autistic children in technology, with the use of computing devices showing promise to improve their social and emotional skills. It is widely recognized that digital technology plays a crucial role in promoting social inclusion and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. Social networks, particularly, offer a virtual environment for entertainment and interaction among diverse groups of individuals. In this context, the purpose of this project is to present a social network platform specifically designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. To achieve this, the project includes a variety of accessibility concepts and strategies aimed at stimulating interaction and socialization among community members.
