It has been proposed that ultra light bosons could provide a solution to the dark matter mystery. Most likely candidates are particles, similar to axions, postulated to solve the strong CP problem in QCD, and to axion-like particles present in string compactification models. They can be created via non-thermal processes in the early cosmos, and they can form gravitationally bound condensates during the cosmic evolution. In a contribution to this volume we summarize our recent research on ultra-light dark matter condensate stars.

摘要

It has been proposed that ultra light bosons could provide a solution to the dark matter mystery. Most likely candidates are particles, similar to axions, postulated to solve the strong CP problem in QCD, and to axion-like particles present in string compactification models. They can be created via non-thermal processes in the early cosmos, and they can form gravitationally bound condensates during the cosmic evolution. In a contribution to this volume we summarize our recent research on ultra-light dark matter condensate stars.
