Design of a New Elbow-Wrist Assisting Device
摘要
This work presents a novel approach to developing a portable, adaptable, and user-centric elbow-wrist assisting device. The design focuses on addressing the identified shortcomings of the existing devices, offering improved motion assistance through lightweight construction, ergonomic shape, and modular adaptability for different body types and activity levels. Key considerations include optimizing joint range of motion based on biomechanical studies and integrating advanced cable-driven mechanisms for effective motion support. The proposed device aims to enhance both usability and performance while remaining cost-effective for wide acceptance in clinical and personal settings. During the design procedure, insights from research and experience with available cable-driven mechanisms inspired improved technical efficiency and user comfort.
