In this chapter, the comparison analysis of the trajectory reconstruction and post-flight data for Apollo 11 and 12 mission are presented [1, 2]. The Apollo targeting and guidance parameters are generic and do not reflect any specific mission parameters with predetermined landing sites. Therefore, the initial entry orbit parameters, the parameters of descent propulsion system and landing site coordinates with corresponding epochs have been specified in the simulations according to a specific mission for comparison purposes. The comparisons of thrust and attitude profiles, the time histories for altitude, current range to landing site and velocity vector magnitude, and some data points for mass, thrust, flight path angle and central angle are presented. The terminal descent phase is almost vertical, and typically lasts about 30 s and not considered in these simulations.

摘要
