Perception of Chat AI on Writing Skills Among Literature Teacher Students: A Study at Hanoi Pedagogy University 2, Vietnam
摘要
The impact of technology and artificial intelligence, especially Chat AI, is becoming increasingly evident in many aspects of human life, including education. Using Chat AI can support text creation, but it also has concerns that it negatively affects students’ writing ability and raises ethical and academic issues, especially for literature pedagogy students, who will teach high school students to create texts. This study aimed to investigate the impact of Chat AI on text construction in pedagogy students. The study used qualitative methods and questionnaires based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). Data were collected from 152 students at Hanoi University of Education 2, Vietnam. Data were analyzed according to the suggested themes using the TAM. The results indicated that students found Chat AI useful and easy to use, and had positive attitudes toward its use in writing. This shows a connection between students’ intentions to use Chat AI and their behavior. Furthermore, some students recognized the potential negative consequences of Chat AI on writing quality and academic ethics. These findings add to the theory and practice of Chat AI in writing and provide a foundation for educators to develop effective strategies for managing and using it.
