Heutagogical learning principles have evolved to incorporate technological advances significantly through mobile and social media tools. This study explores the implementation of student-determined learning strategies using these technologies. Through a qualitative analysis of student interactions and outcomes in a controlled educational setting, we identify key factors influencing effective heutagogical practices. Our findings suggest integrating mobile and social media tools enhances self-determined learning by providing diverse, accessible, and student-centered learning opportunities. These insights contribute to the broader educational strategies aiming to foster student autonomy and engagement.
