Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy: Scope and Future Developments
摘要
LIBS is one of the most rapid and efficient techniques being used for the analysis of a wide range of materials of any kind (solid, liquid, gases), including radioactive isotopes and nanoparticles. This technology is quite simple, removing the need for sample preparations, and the instrumentation is becoming cheaper and more compact. Over the last few decades, the development of LIBS has been progressed rapidly. Improvements in LIBS’s capabilities for samples measurements have been made through the application of sophisticated lasers, detection systems along with data analytical methods. In this chapter, the scope and futures developments in LIBS technology has been explored, highlighting key areas shaped by current trends in the field.
