Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy offers a rapid, efficient, and cost-effective approach for detecting and quantifying hazardous elements in the atmosphere and has the ability to perform real-time, in situ elemental analysis. LIBS plays an instrumental role in advancing air quality monitoring technologies through identifying toxic heavy metals, sulfur compounds, and carbonaceous particles. In this chapter, we have discussed the application of LIBS for monitoring airborne particulate matter and atmospheric pollution which presents a promising avenue for addressing critical environmental challenges.

摘要

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy offers a rapid, efficient, and cost-effective approach for detecting and quantifying hazardous elements in the atmosphere and has the ability to perform real-time, in situ elemental analysis. LIBS plays an instrumental role in advancing air quality monitoring technologies through identifying toxic heavy metals, sulfur compounds, and carbonaceous particles. In this chapter, we have discussed the application of LIBS for monitoring airborne particulate matter and atmospheric pollution which presents a promising avenue for addressing critical environmental challenges.
