Exploring the Performance of Piled Raft Foundation on Cohesive Soil: A Parametric Study Using Numerical Simulations
摘要
The research employed PLAXIS 3D, a finite element software, to examine the influence of key geometric factors such as raft thickness, centre-to-centre pile spacing, pile length, and number of piles on the performance of piled raft foundations (PRFs) on cohesive soil. The main objective of this investigation is to assess the impact of settlement, particularly on pile loading and subsequently analyse the distribution of load between the piles and the raft as settlement progresses. Additionally, the study aims to determine the overall percentage of load shared between the raft and piles, consistently observing load distributions ranging from 30 to 70%.
