The project discussed in the proposed paper have a total of 116 numbers, 1350 mm diameter (44.5 mm thick) and 1500 mm diameter (44.5 mm thick) open ended steel piles with lengths of 54 m to 80 m are used to support a Berth of 610 m stretch at western shore of India. The project is brown field and is extension of existing berth. The approach of the location starts from a junction of original berth. In terms of tidal variation, it is most critical site having tidal variation of 10 m. The steel piles were designed for maximum compressive load of 19,000 kN and tension load of 9000 kN. The paper discusses the results of a pile program with pile driving analyzer (PDA) measurements, static load test results, pile capacity calculations. Also, comparison of calculated pile capacity with those obtained by PDA measurements and static load test results are demonstrated. The stated piles are driven by PTC HD50 vibro hammer and Junttan HHK 25S impact hammer with pile monitoring.
