Today, the Internet of Things significantly impacts various healthcare applications. This expansion aims to enhance service quality across multiple areas in the healthcare domain. Radio Frequency Identification being a prominent identification technology widely utilized in numerous IoT-health scenarios. IoT-Health offers more convenient methods for patients to remotely and efficiently access medical services, and it also enables doctors, physicians, and nurses to monitor health over the Internet. There are significant risks of exposing sensitive patient information, medical data, and patient privacy. To address these issues, this work introduced an efficient and reliable RFID authentication protocol based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography for IoT-Health patient care. Compared to the existing protocols, our results demonstrate minimal computation requirements and reduce storage overheads. The overall analysis indicates that the proposed protocol is more suitable for IoT applications.
