The domain of sentiment analysis has experienced remarkable progress due to the application of various machine learning algorithms. This paper reviews recent advancements, comparing the effectiveness of different techniques, including Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Naive Bayes, and Neural Networks. Through a comprehensive analysis of recent studies, we highlight the methodologies, datasets, and key findings, offering insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each algorithm. Our comparative evaluation reveals that Random Forest and LSTM achieved the highest precision and recall (up to 97% and 87% respectively), though at the cost of computational time. On the other hand, Logistic Regression demonstrated high scalability with a 75% precision rate, making it suitable for large datasets. This review aims to help understand the trade-offs involved in choosing an algorithm, considering factors such as the need for accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in sentiment analysis projects. By examining the performance and applicability of each method, we aim to facilitate more informed decisions in the deployment of sentiment analysis solutions across various domains and data types.

摘要
