Digital Public Relations Strategies in Enhancing Cultural Diplomacy Between Nations

One of the most important communicative tools, digital public relations has received extraordinary attention as a contemporary instrument of persuasion and influence in the international mass media. It has been found effective in bridging desired communication with the audience by using the right techniques to develop a preferred mental image if it is done effectively through a well-designed program with goals to shape global public opinion. The need for this is especially important in the role of land for Iraq as one of the oldest civilizations in the human history. This research problem focuses on how digital public relations can be used to raise the level of civilization communication between nations. Addressing the theme of Iraqi embassies and their role in promoting international culture exchange through conferences, seminars and invitations-addressing specialists and experts from abroad in the history of civilizations. It also aims to evaluate the degree to which these endeavors facilitate dialogue and foster national cultural exchange. The researcher follows the survey method by analyzing contents of the official website of Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for three months the period of the study from 1st of October 2023 to the 31st of Dec 2023. Findings show that media strategy was used by the public relations practitioners at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the website. They used a text and image style of presentation relying on persuasive appeals to present news and activities with the ministry published on the site. The study calls for cooperation of the of the Ministry Foreign Affairs with the Iraqi Ministries of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities to devise a common policy for establishing a civilizational dialogue and cultural exchange between Iraq and the other countries of the world.
