Building Trust and Dialogue Between Civilizations Through Trusted AI-Powered Digital Media
摘要
This research studies how trusted AI-based digital media can potentially combine inspiration to inspire trust and dialogue between civilizations. Fighting cultural stereotypes, disinformation and polarizing narratives the research investigates the role that ethical AI systems can play in mending the cultural divide. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, it combines quantitative analysis—reporting metrics such as fairness improvement (F = 0.85), sentiment positivity (S = 0.78), and F1-score (0.89) and qualitative results about avoiding divisive language, increasing the representation of inclusive narratives, and facilitating cross-cultural understandings. The findings also show that, when driven by ethical guidelines and comprehensive training data, AI has substantial potential to improve intercultural dialogue and respect. Our contributions are: A framework for technology owners enabling ethical and responsible deployment of AI within the digital media domain to foster intercultural dialogue, practical guidelines for transparency and accountability for policymakers as well as for technology owners and developers; and insights into how we can balance the fast-paced development of technologies with the need for culturally sensitive inclusive practices. Addressing limitations around scope, quality of database, and tethered text analysis approach, the study offers actionable pathways for advancing our global understanding through AI—providing a launching pad for future cross-disciplinary research.
