This study examines the role of electronic newspaper websites in enhancing knowledge and fostering civilizational dialogue among university students in Iraq. Using a descriptive survey methodology, data were collected from 200 students at the University of Baghdad and Al-Iraqia University. The findings highlight significant gender-based differences in prioritizing dialogue-related issues and a strong positive correlation between the contributions of electronic newspapers and students’ understanding of dialogue culture. Key topics of interest include cultural, social, and political issues, with cultural issues ranking highest. The study reveals that electronic newspapers are vital platforms for promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence. However, discussions among students often center on lighter, entertaining topics, reflecting an escape from academic pressures. The paper emphasizes the need for institutional support to develop curricula, policies, and training programs that reinforce dialogue culture. These findings underscore the potential of digital media to shape public attitudes and foster a more inclusive and harmonious society. Limitations and recommendations for future research are also discussed.
