The Use of Satire in Addressing Corruption Issues and the Benefit of Artificial Intelligence: An Analytical Study in the Program “Al-Rashid and the People”

This study explores the unique combating of corruption using a combination of satire and artificial intelligence (AI) in the episode “Al-Rashid and the People.” Analyzing 12 episodes aired from January to March 2024, the research investigates the strategic use of satire in a more indirect way for criticizing other corrupt practices, especially financial and administrative corruption. The analysis centers on the thematic material, satirical strategies, and the use of artificial intelligence tools (graphics and infographics that aid in this articulation bring complex issues closer to viewers). The results show that financial and economic corruption, particularly misappropriation of public money, is a prominent theme in these programs. Using colloquial Arabic makes sure that people can relate and engage, allowing satire to resound ↑more. Three aspects of talent AI-optimized technologies—visual aid towards content development and supporting key message reinforcement being the other two. Combining Satire with an AI Output and Implications. This study demonstrates that with a mix of satirical writing combined with AI output, information could be packaged in an entertaining way to amplify awareness and discussions on governance and accountability. It furthermore sets ground for future research and practical applications within media production by demonstrating the added value of contemporary technology in producing traditional forms of satire. These features stimulate knowledge in media studies and political communication by demonstrating satire use outside of the West as well as its enhanced reach through AI tools. In media systems characterized by low press freedom, satire functions as a vital instrument of transparency and public debate.
