Summary and Conclusions
摘要
In summary, this Book has developed an innovative multisite implantable wireless system for neural recording and stimulation, consisting of a three-layer architecture for patient autonomy. The system includes a wireless power and data platform using an inductive link, enabling continuous and simultaneous power delivery and bidirectional data communication. The external unit, implemented into a headstage, facilitates communication with the internal base station, located in a burr hole, which wirelessly delivers power and data to smart patches implanted on the cortex surface. Each smart patch, equipped with electrodes and signal conditioning electronics, records cortical activity, detects seizures, and electrically stimulates the cortex for intervention.
