Green Nanotechnology for Air Pollution Control
摘要
Nanotechnology is an inevitable technology nowadays, involved in environmental monitoring and pollution control. Air pollution is the root cause of global warming and other major environmental impacts, which need to be controlled in an environmentally friendly manner. Green nanotechnology gives a better solution for air pollution control by concentrating several advanced technologies and nanoparticles. Various sources and detection methods of air pollution are described like using single walled nanotubes, cantilever sensors, etc. The details of application of nano catalysts, nano filters and nanoparticle based gas adsorption system and photocatalysts are highlighted. The health and environmental impact of green nanotechnology in air pollution control are also projected, which will have wide impact in pollution control. Nanoparticles are used for air pollution control under proper regulatory framework. The creation of ecologically friendly, sustainable nanomaterials that lessen the secondary environmental effects of traditional nanotechnology is also covered in this chapter. Applications of photocatalysis and adsorptive technology are emphasized, demonstrating its efficacy in air purification. Furthermore, chances for creative, energy-efficient pollution control solutions are presented by the combination of green nanotechnology with renewable energy sources like solar power. Promising avenues for the future of green nanotechnology for air pollution management include scalability for urban and industrial applications, regulatory frameworks for safety and efficacy, and developments in nano-sensing technologies for real-time monitoring. In order to enhance air quality and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment, this chapter highlights the revolutionary potential of green nanotechnology in developing long-lasting and practical solutions.
