Experimental Research on Small Eccentric Compressive Property of Composite Column with Circular Steel Tube-Confined Recycled Aggregate Concrete

To study on mechanical properties of circular steel tube-confined recycled aggregate concrete composite column (CSTRC)under small eccentric compressive loading, 6 circular steel tube-confined recycled aggregate concrete small eccentric compressive composite columns and 1 circular steel tube-confined recycled aggregate concrete axially compressive composite column were designed. Based on the test, the failure characteristics, load-bearing capacity, and the regularities of development for section strain were analyzed. Results show that small eccentric compression failure process was roughly divided into the linear elastic, elastic-plastic and destruction phase. Compared with ordinary concrete composite columns, CSTRC with small eccentric damage and failure morphology were not distinct. The ultimate bearing capacity of specimen decreases with the increase of eccentricity, and the ultimate bearing capacity can be increased by decreasing the ratio of slenderness.
