Exosomes are a type of secretion product from cells, particularly from stem cells. These secretory vesicles carry crucial information for cell-to-cell communication and are being studied for their therapeutic potential. Consequently, the production of exosomes for therapeutic applications has gained significant attention. This chapter seeks to provide an overview of various methods studied and employed for exosome isolation, including centrifugation, chromatography, tangential flow filtration, and immunoaffinity, as well as newly developed methods. The chapter also examines the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques. It aims at a comprehensive and current compilation of information on these extraction techniques for research and practical applications.
