How Power Sensitises and Triggers Us
摘要
This chapter explores how power can play on people’s insecurities and, through this, it creates sensitivities that can affect how leaders use their power, what they see as threatening to it and how they then respond to these threats. In doing so, it explores the concepts of need for power and power motive. And it examines the various contextual and environmental factors that can magnify these effects and trigger defensive reactions in people.
