The Two Great Lies of Power
摘要
This chapter explores why we don’t tend to talk about power openly and some of the consequences of this. It highlights two misunderstandings—or lies—that have arisen about power over the years: that power corrupts and that it only affects the rich, famous and wayward few. And in explaining why these common beliefs are incorrect, the chapter shows how power can negatively affect everyone who holds some, making their roles more challenging and them less effective.
