Investigation on a Novel Platform of Mobile Manipulator

In the current situation, the industrial manipulator has gained several achievements so that it has a wide range of appropriate fields. However, it still needs some innovations and developments to deal with the other challenges. In this research, our concept is to establish a novel platform for robotic systems. The parallel architecture of this robot consists of three joints that are linked by a mechanical base. Instead of the conventional design in which the working space is lower, our platform requires higher space and is proper for collaborative tasks such as human-oriented assistant. Both computational mechanisms and kinematics are presented to indicate the potential motion. Due to this design, theoretical validation and its experiment are illustrated. From these results, it can be seen that our works are effective, feasible, and applicable in many applications.
