The One Health approach, which calls for integrated protection of human, animal and environmental health, necessarily requires intervention at a regulatory level. In particular, the role of legislation is indispensable in order to allow effective implementation of the approach: as was declared by the FAO in 2020 “legislation is a powerful means by which countries and regional organizations translate the One Health objectives into concrete, sustainable and enforceable rights, obligations and responsibilities”. Starting from these considerations, the paper, after having outlined the main interventions at an international and European level, intends to focus on the Italian case, where it analyzes the multiple problematic profiles connected to the implementation of this new healthcare model.

摘要
