Nowadays, in the fourth industrial revolution, the transformation of traditional factories into smart factories is being executed extremely strongly. This paper presents the applied ability of Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) to digitize the brine filtration process of a chemical factory or any smart factories based real-time simulations of the level and concentration process controls. In addition, it can be connected to a SCADA system (ABB 800xA) through IEC 60870-5-104 protocol (IEC 104) and OLE for Process Control (OPC). The connection is realized by Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway (SDG triangle). RTDS is a powerful system which can optimize supervisory in any smart factories to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and provide real-time visibility into control all levels of smart factories.
