Prostate cancer (PCa) is a common cancer among men in the US and globally, and the incidence is gradually increasing due to an increase in the aged population. With the help of early diagnosis by prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and the advent of novel therapeutics, PCa is managed well. Among them, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT)Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is the cornerstone and has transformed the management of advanced PCa. However, ADTAndrogen-deprivation therapy (ADT) also comes with the risk of cardiotoxicityCardiotoxicities, which has become a major cause of death among PCa patients. This chapter highlights the benefits of ADTAndrogen-deprivation therapy (ADT) in treating PCa while examining the clinical and epidemiological evidence linking to cardiovascular risk. We have also reviewed the cardiotoxicityCardiotoxicities of other emerging PCa treatments such as abiraterone, and second-generation antiandrogens, highlighting their potential impact on the cardiovascular health of advanced PCa patients.
