Human Thought and Creativity: Machine Design in the Renaissance
摘要
The Renaissance of machines can be identified with the recognition and awareness of the dignity of machine technology in the activities of design, construction, and exploitation of machinery that took place from the dawn of the Renaissance up to disciplinary maturity in the seventeenth century. The presented panorama is intended to indicate the most important aspects of historical evolution as linked to the main distinguished figures, who have now contributed to make the design discipline of machinery and mechanisms a part not only of engineering but also of modern science and technology with consolidated community of well reputed scientist and professionals.
