Feedback Technology for Practice and Research
摘要
This chapter examines the technology needed to implement routine outcome monitoring (ROM) and feedback systems in psychotherapy research and practice. Focusing on both private practice and research hubs, we explore how different clinical settings use technology to meet their unique needs. Systems such as the Treatment Navigator Pro (TN-PRO) exemplify how private practices can adopt user-friendly, scalable solutions for essential outcome monitoring, allowing for widespread dissemination without significant technical investment. Research hubs, such as those using the Treatment Navigator Hub (TN-HUB), have the resources to study and integrate advanced data sources, such as Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) and video analysis, exploring innovative approaches to enhance ROM. Using the Trier Treatment Navigator (TTN) at our university training clinic as an example, we detail the workflows, technical infrastructures, and data security measures for implementing feedback systems. This chapter provides practical guidance for different clinical settings, emphasizing incremental steps to develop robust, privacy-compliant systems, while demonstrating the potential of advanced technologies to expand their capabilities.
