Salivary Gland Infections
摘要
There are three major paired salivary glands and numerous minor salivary glands distributed over the entire lining of the oral cavity. The major salivary glands in front of the ears are called the parotid glands, whilst the other two paired major glands located on the floor of the mouth are the sublingual and submandibular glands. Inflammation of the salivary glands is called ‘sialadenitis.’ Infections are usually the cause.
