Neuralgia
摘要
The word ‘neuralgia’ is derived from the Greek word ‘neuros’, which translates to nerve, and ‘algos’, which translates to pain. That is, neuralgia refers to pain along the distribution of a nerve. Neuralgia can occur in many areas of the body, and hence, each neuralgia tends to be named after the nerve that supplies the affected region. For example, trigeminal neuralgia is named after the trigeminal nerve, which supplies the mouth and face.
