Tricuspid Atresia is a complex cyanotic lesion with a functionally single ventricle circulation. This is a mixing lesion with a R→L shunt at atrial level, a L→R shunt at ventricular and duct level. A transposition of the great arteries is present at 30% of cases and associated lesions are Coarctation and interrupted aortic arch. Anaesthetic management depends on the details of the lesion. Most important are an unrestricted atrial shunt and to avoid overcirculating the lungs by avoiding a decrease in pulmonary vascular resistance and avoiding an increase in systemic blood pressure.
