Ebstein’s anomaly is a valvular lesion. The tricuspid valve is dysplastic and displaced downward into the right ventricle with variable degree of severity and symptoms. The right atrium is dilated and may cause atrial arrhythmias. The tricuspid valve might be stenotic or regurgitant or both. The size and function of the right ventricle depends on the amount of valve displacement and might be in failure. Anaesthetic management is dependent on the individual lesion and can be challenging in severe cases.
