The 4th industrial revolution (a.k.a Industry 4.0) has significantly transformed the manufacturing sector by adopting advanced technologies like Cloud Computing (CC), which leverages cloud technology to revolutionize traditional IT models with scalable, cost-effective, and accessible services. This study investigates the economic impact of implementing Amazon Web Services (AWS) CC in the automotive industry, utilizing a System Dynamics simulation model that considers the risks, benefits, and investments required. Organizations that embrace this approach aim to facilitate resource allocation according to fluctuating market demands and their specific needs and costs. Despite the industry’s increasing digitalization, further research is needed to understand its impact on organizations. The adoption of CC and its economic influence on manufacturing remains underexplored. Experts from various organizations designed Cloud Computing Implementations (CCIs) to implement a web solution in an automaker, where the best option was selected using an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess and compare various implementation strategies, focusing on key factors such as scalability, and operational efficiency. The results indicate that CC adoption can substantially enhance productivity and reduce operational costs, benefiting other areas. These findings underscore the importance of careful strategic planning in CCIs, providing valuable insights for organizations considering similar transitions.

摘要
