AlfaLotería: Mobile Application to Enhance Literacy Skills in Indigenous Communities with Educational Gaps
摘要
This article presents the development of a mobile application designed to strengthen literacy skills in illiterate individuals in the region of Morelos, Mexico. The main objective is to provide an accessible and effective tool to support the learning of reading and writing for people with educational gaps. The application was developed using mobile technologies and the implementation of serious games. It incorporates a module for an educational lottery game, which includes the recognition of letters, words, and sounds based on the educational model for life and work. The application is adapted to the users’ needs, initially offering the game in Mexican Spanish and the indigenous Amuzgo language. This tool provides a valuable resource that will contribute to reducing illiteracy by offering a solution tailored to the needs of indigenous communities.
