From AI to Performance: Understanding the Mediating Role of AI Usage in Startup Success
摘要
This study explores the role of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) in boosting startup performance (SP), specifically focusing on the mediating role of artificial intelligence usage (AIU). The research followed a quantitative method, and the partial least squares structural equation modeling approach (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze collected data. The findings reveal that AIU mediates the relationship between EO and SP, and EO positively influences both AIU and SP. These results highlight the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within business models to improve SP, particularly for those with a strong EO. The study contributes to the existing literature by addressing the gap in understanding how AIU mediates the EO-SP relationship. It also provides valuable insights for entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders supporting startup ecosystems. The findings highlight the strategic role of AI in leveraging EO to achieve sustainable competitive advantages in dynamic markets.
